Am I Serving God or Seeking Validation?
Before you post, serve, or say yes to one more thing, here’s a gentle heart-check question that can bring you back to what matters most:

God… is what I’m doing really for You? Or am I doing it because I want people to notice me?

Maybe you’ve asked that too.

We post. We serve. We teach. We volunteer. We help. We show up. And none of those things are “bad.” But our hearts can get mixed up. We can start out wanting to honor God… and slowly slip into wanting praise, likes, and approval.

Here are a few simple “heart checks” that can help.

1) The secret place check
If nobody ever saw what you did, would you still want to do it?
When something is for God, you can keep going even when it’s quiet. When it’s for attention, you feel crushed when nobody claps.

2) The fruit check
After you do the thing, what grows in you?
Does it grow love, peace, patience, and kindness? Or does it grow stress, jealousy, and comparison?

3) The “no” check
What happens when someone doesn’t respond? Or when plans change?
If you feel angry, embarrassed, or rejected, it may be a sign you were looking for people to fill a place only God can fill.

4) The peace check
God’s voice brings clear direction and hope.
People-pleasing brings pressure, fear, and the feeling that you’re never enough.

Here’s a simple prayer you can whisper today:

Lord, clean up my motives. If I’m chasing applause, pull me back. If this is from You, give me peace and courage.

Let me tell you something freeing: it’s not always either/or. We’re human. Sometimes we start with mixed motives. But God is kind. He will refine us as we go.

So today, don’t quit serving. Don’t stop sharing. Just bring your heart back to Jesus.
Because the goal isn’t to be impressive
The goal is to be faithful.

Meet Peggie B Hensley

From Entrepreneur to Empowerment: My Journey to Health and Purpose”

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I sold my first painting while still in high school, and as a young mom married to a coal miner, I was determined to find creative ways to earn extra income from home. Whether it was sewing, crafting, quilting, or painting, I traded my time for money with one-on-one services to support my family.

In my mid-30s, a health crisis led me to explore natural holistic remedies and lifestyle changes, transforming my life in ways I never imagined.

As my children grew and left home, I transitioned to teaching high school, still trading time for money, but I knew there had to be more to life. With broadband internet replacing slow dial-up, I eagerly dove into health and wellness topics, and spent countless hours researching ways to earn extra income. Along the way, I tried a few strategies that didn’t work, but every failure taught me something important.

Now, in my 70’s, my mission is clear: to share everything I’ve learned to help other Christian women reclaim their health and discover new ways to serve God. I’m passionate about guiding them away from the overwhelm of endless research and analysis paralysis and showing them how to take action and uncover their true purpose.

Whether you’re seeking stability, taking bold action, building meaningful relationships, or looking for knowledge, this community is for you. We’re here to support you in discovering your purpose and transforming your health, no matter where you’re starting from.

Welcome to a journey of empowerment, growth, and faith.
